Sovereign Harbour provides an ideal location from which to explore the coast, with Eastbourne an hour-long stroll along the promenade and the invigorating South Downs National Park just a couple of miles further, incorporating Beachy Head and dramatic cliff-top walks.
Access to the harbour is easy, either on foot, riding along the many cycle paths or by bus (Number 99 stops at Sovereign Harbour every 20 minutes). You might even fancy a trip on the Dotto train which runs the length of the seafront to Eastbourne.
Head East to Bexhill, and enjoy exhibitions at the De La Warr Pavillion, further east to the seaside resorts of St Leonards-on-Sea & Hastings, or inland to historic sites and battlefields which shaped English history.
